These Airlines of India are grounding aircrafts

Corona Impact-

Aviation is bleeding everyday and its becoming almost unsustainable for airline to stay float. Airlines are taking following measures to save every bit whatever they can but it may not be enough.

Fast Growing Airlines(operating)

Following Airlines are grounding majority of aircrafts :

• Air India
• Indigo
• Go Air
• Vistara

More than 150 aircrafts are going to get grounded in few days. Vistara, Go Air , Indigo has already cancelled all International flights and Air India is doing very few International flights which are also likely to get cancelled due restrictions .

Air India has fleet of Boeing 777, Boeing 787 which are dedicated precisely for Long haul operations or Ultra Long haul operations. Cancellation of flights will be a huge monetary loss for all airlines.

Airlines are facing issues as most of the aircraft are on lease, Airlines will end up paying lease amount despite grounding the aircrafts. This is a huge loss for entire aviation industry.

Recently Vistara has inducted their first Boing 787 which was supposed to utilized for Delhi- Japan sector but due Corona everything has come to standstill. Vistara will be forced to use Boeing 787 Dreamliner on Delhi-Mumbai sector with much lesser load and will end up with heavy losses.Vistara will end up paying Pilots, Cabin Crew etc without utilizing them.

Aviation sector has very thin margins specially in India due high input costs. Govt of India has also not passed benefits to Airlines despite very cheap crude oil. If Govt will not help the airlines, it may be difficult for airlines to operate in near future.
